dha Gaja Raja is an upcoming 2013 tamil Masala film directed by Sundar C. It stars Vishal, Anjali and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in the leading roles, while Prakash Raj and Nithin Sathya play other pivotal supporting roles. Initially it was announced to Samantha Ruth Prabhu to do this movie Hansika Motwani was approached to play the lead female role but could not sign the film due to unavailability of dates. Later Karthika Nair was roped in to essay the character of the love interest of Vishal, who was said to be playing a triple role for the first time in his career. In a turn of events, Karthika opted out of the project citing that the script had undergone major changes and revealed that Vishal would only play a single role, as well as there being an addition of an extra lead actress. Anjali replaced her in the film, and soon after the makers announced that Taapsee Pannu was approached to play one of the two lead female roles. Sadha shot for an item number in the film, while Prakash Raj and Nithin Sathya were signed on in supporting roles. Taapsee has opted out of the film and was replaced by Varalakshmi Sarathkumar.
